Playing tempo

Playing Position

If you want to get everywhere then you got to stand at the center of your courts half side. After striking shuttlecock just go and run back there so you have same distance to every place in court. The size of badminton net size is defined by BWF(Badminton World Federation).  Below there are some info about badminton net size.

  • At the center of the court, the net is 5 feet high. In metres it is 1.524 metres from the ground level.
  • At extreme ends, the net is 5,1 feet high. In metres it is 1.55 metres from the ground level.
  • The height of the badminton net poles should be 5.1 feet (1.55 metres) from the ground level.
  • The standard depht of the badminton net is 2 feet and 6 inches, in metres it is 0.76 metres.
  • The lenght of the badminton net is 6.1 metres.
  • The thickness of badminton net should be 15mm to 20mm.
  • Net should be dark coloured to make shuttlecock more visible.
  • Upper edge of the net should be white. White area for 75mm.
